A research report presents the information that has been compiled in the course of the research. A report is usually written at the end of the research since it discusses the findings of a particular study; however, in some cases, it may begin during the research period. This paper is going to analyze how a researcher may start writing some sections of a report even before the research is concluded. A research report is divided into five major sections. These are; the introduction, literature review, methods of research, results, and discussion. A researcher may begin to write the report even before the conclusion of the research by writing the first three sections; which are, the introduction, review of the literature and the research methods.
