Structure of the Pentium Microprocessor

The most significant component of a computer is the Central processing Unit also known as the processor. The processor is referred to as the brain of the computer. This can be explained based on some of its key functionalities that resemble that of the human brain. The processor is largely involved in the sending and receiving of signals to the attached devices. It is also involved in the running of these components. Whether one is using a computer device to send and receive emails, browse or post online, take pictures and other computer related tasks, it is the processor that takes charge of all of the data handling and processing functionalities. It also initiates related programs that are needed to run these programs. In most computer devices, the CPU has often two major tasks; these are the execution of instructions and the processing of data.
