Starbucks is a large multinational coffee chain with over 28,200 coffeehouses in 62 countries globally. Starbucks is currently the leading player in the coffee chain industry due to the implementation of appropriate corporate strategies. In 2017, Starbucks held a 39% market share of the global coffee chain industry. In essence, the internal and external environment of the organization affects an organization’s performance. This paper examines Starbuck’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It also determines the strategies that it can use to take advantage of the strengths and fix the weaknesses.
