The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others in the same way that one would want to be treated. For instance, if one would want to be treated with respect, they should treat others with respect as well. Virtue ethics refers to possessing a character and performing actions that are morally right. The observance of the golden rule and virtue ethics enable businesses to make ethical decisions.


Luke is employed by ABC Company where he is involved in a project that involves the construction of an adult entertainment store in the neighborhood where Luke’s brother, Owen, lives. The value of land in this neighborhood will plummet once ABC’s plans are made public since investors would not want to have an adult store in the area.
